"THE RIGHT TO OPACITY" is a concept of the great Caribbean theorist Eduard Glissant who has written about the artist's right to be unsystematic, to not be obliged to explain, to make work intended to be experienced free of explanation.
I mean for these swarms of fabric to create their own interior environment - the transparency or opacity of each strip of fabric either reveals or conceals the space around them.
